people who got on the bus here went to Lau Shui Heung
Reservoir, so don't worry about miss the stops. |
It takes about 15 minutes to get
off at this roundabout. |

Lau Shui Heung Reservoir. It took
about 20 minutes to reach the public toilet, and to the
right is the Lau Shui Heung Reservoir. |
Lau Shui Heung Reservoir is also
called the mirror of the sky. The surrounding trees and the
sky are reflected in the water, so beautifully. |
The beauty of this mirror of the
sky , deserves to be called Hong Kong Little Guilin, with
beautiful mountains and clear waters. |
Go straight up the stairs next to
the reservoir to return to the main road. |
When you come here, you can see the
two entrances of the Lau Shui Heung Country Trail. We choose
to enter from the entrance directly in front (not the
entrance to the mountain) to e njoy the red leaves. |
After entering the country trail,
you can see a row of pine trees in the distance, officially
the destination we are going to. |
The barbecue site next to the
country trail is temporarily closed due to the epidemic. If
you grill here, it must feel very special. |
Flowing Water Bridge , this name is
quite poetic. |
The front row is planted with
Melaleuca, and the back row is pine. |
Although it is not the best time to
enjoy the red leaves, many people still come to take
picture. |
Red leaves.
After
enjoying the red leaves, return to the minibus station on
the same route. |
The light at this time better shows
the mirror of the sky. |
Back at the entrance of the country
trail, you can climb from this entrance to the "Hok Tau
Reservoir". But this section is difficult and it is best to
walk with your partner. |
The first stage is almost all stone
steps, which is quite difficult. |
There is also a loess road as shown
in the picture. |
It takes about 30 minutes to reach
the highest point of the mountain from the starting point of
the country trail. |
The road downhill is steep, please
pay attention to safety. |
Halfway up the mountain, you can
see a mirror in the mountains, that is the "Hok Tau
Reservoir". |
When we saw this sign, we were very
close to the "Hok Tau Reservoir". |
After going down the stairs, you
will see the "Hok Tau Reservoir". |
The Hok Tau Reservoir was
originally a stream and swamp with sufficient water sources.
In 1968, it was built as an irrigation pond. |
Hok Tau Reservoir is surrounded by
mountains.
It takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes from
Lau Shui Heung Reservoir Country Trail to Hok Tau Reservoir. |
Finally, you can go to the minibus
station along Hok Tau Road. |
You can reach here in about
30 minutes. Go to the left to enter the minibus station. The
trip takes about 4 hours.
