Nam Sang Wai watch migratory bird & Tuen
Mun T-PARK
Nam Sang Wai is
located in Yuen Long, Hong Kong, surrounded by Kam Tin River
and Shan Pui River. There is a small island at the
intersection between the two rivers. At low tide, there will
be many migratory birds near the mudflats of the island,
especially in winter. Hong Kong is warmer in winter, which
is suitable for migratory birds to spend the winter. There
are Great White Egret, Little Egret and black-faced
spoonbill. In addition to birds, there are also different
types of plants and creatures in Nam Sang Wai, Such as red
River-Red Gum, reed, Northern Pochard ,Baer's Pochard,
Fiddler Crab and so on. |
The weather is good today, is suitable for outings, this
time we went to the Nam Sang Wai. There have been several
fires in Nam Sang Wai, somebody said the ecology has been
destroyed, let's take a closer look today. We took a bus
from Kowloon Tong MTR Station and it took 1 hour arrived.
When you see mountains and rivers, you are in Nam Sang Wai. |
Keep going, you can se
some Mangroves. As a kind of aquatic plant, mangrove can
protect ecology, protect river embankments, and provide
resting places for migratory birds. |

lush mangrove forest. |
There is a large space next to Nam Sang Wai Road. Every
holiday, many people will come here to sunbathe. There are
an entrance and exit, connecting the Eucalyptus Forest . |

Wedding Bridge: Wedding Bridge is
a popular place, many TV series have been filmed here, and

At the end of the road
is Nam Sang Wai cable ferry, It is the only manually
operated route in Hong Kong today.
From get off the car
to Nam Sang Wai cable ferry, take around 1 hour. |
The destination in the afternoon is T-PARK in Tuen Mun,
passing through Lau Fau Shan. There are many restaurants
here, so we decided to have lunch in Lau Fau Shan. After
lunch, you can go to Seafood Street for shopping or go to
seaside. |
There are many kinds of seafood in Lau Fau Shan seafood
street. |

The fishermen are preparing to go to work.
As a rest station in
this travel, Lau Fau Shan is indeed a good choice. |
